looks like a tragedy…..why cant they just make 3 or 4 new seasons or 1-2 movies (animated) ….. I bet fans would be more happier about that… x( trailer was so bad that I won’t even waste my time watching the movie – it will be even worse then Harry Potter and Half blood prince movie (that was soooo bad)

It’s hard to make a real life movie out of an anime… c’mon! Make a movie that is animated but muuuuuch better and a long story D: I dunno, but this is horrible. I’d have to say, I expected it to be much worse than this trailer … but nuuuuuuuuuuuu not real life plix >.< Somebody stop them from ruining Avatar! D:

Man, when I first heard there was gonna be a movie I was so excited! Ik thought that it would be about Zuko and Aang rebuilding the world or something, I dunno. At least I thought it would be anime.
So when I first saw it WASN’T anime, I was kinda in shock. And when I found out it was gonna be the whole war all over again, I didn’t know what to think.
What were they thinking?
If I would start talking about everything that I think is wrong with the movie, I don’t think I would be able to stop.
So here’s a short summary of what I think is wrong:
- First of all (and it’s pretty obvious) : it’s not anime.
- Second : they aren’t continuing the story, but just showing us the whole thing again.
- Third : I personally don’t like the actors. AT ALL. They just feel wrong…
I would go on, but these are my main problems. I would hate them if they would screw the whole thing up, I would get so mad! I saw Katara in costume, and it looked so wrong! I couldn’t believe it!
They are ruining Avatar, at least, that’s what I think.
What I do like: the effects. I hate everything else, but you gotta admit, the effects in this trailer were pretty cool. I’m wondering how they’re gonna do the rest. You know, the water, the earth, and shooting fire. It will be kinda interesting.
But apart from that,
it scares the hell out of me.

I’m a 26 years old indian man and i’m an avatar fan. i am very excited about the avatar movie and i dont really care about the race of the cast. i am very thankful that avatar movie is in progress. however i just like to state that i always thought that sokka is an indian ( coz the name is clearly an indian name ). Maybe dev patel should have played sokka instead of zuko. anyway i’m still happy and looking forward to the movie. and i am thankful that the movie is by night syamalan coz i think he is very creative guy. i’m gonna support this movie and i hope it portrays the same avatar series that i became fond of. cheers guys.

no offense to anyone else cuz you make good points about some of the characters seem wrong for the part, and yes i hope they show the goofy joking laughy side of the kids instead of making them serious all the time, but maybe you should give the movie a chance and see it before you knock it down too harsh. who knows, it could turn out really cool. i think the point of making the movie into real life instead of anime is because they want to show you and let you experience a sense of reality..well takin it from cartoon and putting a real visual image. also i dont think the point is to try and get everything the same, i mean its showing real life so of course there outfits are going to look like real outfits that would seem right set in that time. anyway im a huge fan of the cartoon and my judgment on it wont be clouded if the movies are bad or not. im just happy someone realized this show was good enough to put in the movies

First of all I’m just saying that I don’t want people to get the wrong idea of avatar from watching this movie. and quite frankly they do a poor job of it from what iv’e seen I mean seriously the casting is terrible seriously people katara and sokka are not white and aang is not a serious bum at all especially in the first season. However I will see the movie before totally judging it. I won’t pay to see it and waste my money I’ll see it on HBO. Peace
