The gang find themselves in a small Earth Kingdom village under attack by a Spirit World monster. Aang attempts to stop the monster from destroying the town but is accidentally transported into and trapped within the Spirit World. Meanwhile, Iroh gets captured by a group of Earth Kingdom soldiers and Zuko must track him down.

according to the wiki Iroh can see the spirits because he had a spirit journey (he went into the spirit world) somehow. Doesn’t say how or why but there it is…

This is one of the first episodes I ever saw. Still one of my favorites for all of its nostalgia.
Funny thing is, I’m watching it and mentally combining the show with the commentary from Avatar: the Abridged Series.
For those of you who know what I’m talking about… Let’s just say that 7:26 starts off some pretty hilarious dialogue.

wow i didnt understand the part were iroh see’s aang and roku’s dragon when they are in the spirit world but now i do
iroh saw him cause iroh once went to the spirit world so now somehow he can see spirits so ya something like that 
so i watched every single episode of avatar from boy in the iceberg untill avatar aang and its so freakin awsome!!!! i watched it in order like some 5 times and im watching it again!!! i just hope they make another book so ya i kinda had an idea of what they might do if they have a fourth book…aang finds a bunch of airbenders hiding somewhere people have never been and then baybe the earth kingdom becomes eveil something like that so i hope you liked my idea and i hope you enjoy avatar!!!:D
