Avatar: The Last Airbender Episode Guide

The gang leaves the Fire Nation, humbled and embarrassed by the failure of the invasion. They head to the Western Air Temple. However, unbeknownst to them, Zuko is also following them in the hope of joining their group to teach Aang firebending.

I’m actually working on drawing them together, Like I think they would have been the CUTEST coupple in this show, I’m so excited for the movie too, though i think the avatar looks more like a chick the way they show it. Remember that part when they were in Ba Sing Se in the crystal cave that Suko and Katara was talking and at the end that Suko betrayed her by trying to kill aang that is why she mean to Suko because what he did at the cave because she thought he changed but it looks like he did not. But now he finally sees his true destiny but Katara doesn’t trust him anymore because he did some bad stuff to her in the previous shows. So she has the right to do that stuff to him. Don’t blame her for what she went through.

I agree with The Doctor and David Krusen…Though we all know better and know that Zuko is sincere and it’s easy to be mad at Katara for being so rough on Zuko now…Keep in mind that he did do some horrible nasty things to “Team Avatar”…And that he played the “I’m good” card already and it nearly killed Aang ( Thank goodness Katara had that spirit water )…
She’s wary and untrusting of him for a reason…She’s still an amazing character in this whole series whether or not you like her in this ep…

to the people who is blabbering about they hate katara because of what she said to zuko, i totally don’t agree with you… lemme compare this story to another story, and this story is about the boy who cried “WOLF!”
zuko was like the guy who did that. and the farmers were like katara…
when the boy cried “wolf!” it was like zuko trying to harm them and capture the avatar…
when the boy cried “wolf!” the second time, it was like zuko making katara be pleased to her… and suddenly turned his back to her and hurt aang… which is what katara don’t like…
and the third time the boy cried “wolf!” he was telling the truth… the wolf came after all and ate his sheeps and the farmer won’t listen… it was like zuko trying to be good and join their group. katara acted like the farmers… she trusted him at first, but he betrayed her and wanted her to trust him again…
you gotta understand her feelings… i did understand her because this happened to me once. and i felt like what katara felt when zuko did that…

lol… i can still remember back there when i was gr. 1… i was forced to read that story and i don’t wanna cause it’s tiring…XD

Okay, just had to point this out. When the Gaang is getting all pissy about having to walk “all the way to the Western Air Temple” and Aang is like “Appa’s tired. It’s hard for him to fly with all these people aboard,” EVERY TIME I watch this, I’m sitting here yelling at the screen “Well, open your eyes, dipshit! Why don’t you take all that heavy-ass armor off of him! That’s got to be a lot heavier and more restricting than a few extra little kids!” Seriously. Dummies.
But that’s okay. We love them anyway.
Speaking of loving, Zuko is amazing. He’s been my favorite character since pretty much the end of the first season. Such a complicated, round, and extensively dynamic person. I’ve loved seeing him grow and change as he gains experience with the world, and was about ready to kick his stupid confused butt when he betrayed them at Ba Sing Se…silly boy. Don’t you know Azula always lies?
Also, he is way sexy with hair. Not to bash the ponytail or anything, but who can look at a mophead like him and not want to ruffle his hair? That’s another thing I liked watching grow–his hair, lol. From the buzz cut style until now, it’s been so, so adorable. A little out-of-control in the Beach episode, but whatevs. Man, I love him. They don’t make men like that anymore, folks!
But this is definitely one of my favorite episodes–the only one I like more is the Southern Raiders, for obvious Zutara reasons. His “talks” with himself are hilarious, and he’s so, so in over his head trying to join the Gaang. Thank goodness for Aang’s kind soul, or he never would have been able to convince them to trust him again.
If only they had made a fourth season: Air. Even if they bash it at conventions, I honestly think Zutara would have had a shot. Aang and Katara’s relationship is so mother-son, and would have petered out quickly. Mai is just…ugh. Flat and boring. There is no substance to her relationship with our Zuzu, and most of all she doesn’t deserve him. No one does, really. It would be difficult to separate the Fire Lord from his girl, since she holds him on such a short leash, but I think it would be possible. And for the best. I mean, Jet and Zuko were very similar personality-wise, and Katara was smitten with him…for a while…
I’ll shut up now, for all you Kataang lovers out there. I could talk like this for hours. Great episode, incredible show, and I hope Shyalaman didn’t fuck up the movie! G’night!

I’d normally be on Katara’s side here, but she takes it way too far. There have been too many good killing-people times to start on Zuko after missing all of them.

Alright to everyone who’s using the ‘Katara’s too motherly’ argument.
Katara lost her mother right? And Sokka, when he was talking to Toph a few episodes back, said Katara was the one that looked out for everyone when their mother died. MEANING Katara became a motherly figure to everyone after her mother died to sort of fill the void.
Another point, concerning Kataang haters. Katara is in love with Aang (and vice versa) right? Well how can you blame her for being overprotective when she’s got the whole motherly thing going on?
One last point about Katara ‘being too harsh’ in this episode.
