Avatar: The Last Airbender Episode Guide

Second part to “The Day of Black Sun, Part 1: The Invasion”. The eclipse has started and the gang only has a few minutes to infiltrate an underground bunker and find and defeat Ozai. Zuko confronts his father and learns about his mother’s banishment while Aang, Sokka and Toph fight Azula and her Dai Li agents.

I agree with Ivori. When Avatar first came out in ’05, I was thinking that the show was lame and stupid, just like the average 7 year old. But then a couple of days ago, I decided to watch episodes of it, from beginning to end. And I can surely say that Avatar is the best show ever, and I’m sorry to the show and everyone who loves it, becasue I really acted like a douche. And lastly, I know that the movie of Avatar is going to suck…MAJORLY.

War takes on so many interesting aspects when you’re not allowed to kill people. I mean, I guess Liu Ten (Iroh’s kid) died of dysentery or something. It’s fascinating the way everyone acts and plans, knowing that death is an impossibility. What were they gonna do with Ozai once they “brought him down”? I suppose a really secure prison cell might do it.
Seriously though, if they’d started chopping limbs off of Azula, they’d almost certainly have found Ozai and brought the show to a premature close. Instead, they said “Well, we’ve got a highly trained and entirely unharmed strike force of the world’s best and brightest smack dab in the middle of the enemy’s most vulnerable spot. Time to surrender unconditionally”. The reason the fire nation is able to kick so much ass with such ease is that they’re the only ones who understand the inscription on Zuko’s dagger. No, the other one.

However i still love the show!
ps: Thank god for katara because without her avatar aang would not exist because of bad ass fire nation azula! and yes she is bad ass and evil but mainly bad ass. Azula would make hitler look like fluffy bunny.
pss: just thank god this is a cartoon because there are some serious holes in the overall plan.

I agree with Ivori and Jaymi, I was exactly the same. I just wish I could go back in time and be a part of it all, just knowing that I’m watching this great show with everyone else… But it’s not all bad, ‘cos there are people like me who have only just started the show, and we can experience it together!!
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, AVATAR, THE LAST AIRBENDER; FTW!!!!!
Kataang makes the show awesome too, and Sokka provides a light side xD

this is seriously disappointing … Aang is meant to be the avatar but yet he is still so weak compared to the little blind girl and Katara … he got freaking three elements but if u compared it with the blind girl and Katara then it seems like hes still at the basics with every element … he doesn’t even try to combine the three elements he only goes with his wind element …. huge mistake …
And seriously how could he not have defeated the four princess in this episode when he pwned her at the city of walls and she didn’t even have any fire bending here wtf …
Aang just has this huge container of potential power but just doesn’t do anything with it …
but oh well guess in gonna watch the series through and then look back on it “the show that had a great start and potential, but to the end it failed”

You obviously were not paying attention to this episode, or a few others for that matter.
Aang is an amazing bender for the fact that he learned and pretty much mastered earth and water in a matter of months. He doesn’t use them all at once because, one, he’s much more skilled with airbending and two, because he’s not a fully realised avatar, which makes it more difficult to multi task with elements. He had actually used earthbending if you payed attention, to break through the Dai Li’s walls. And you also seemed to have ignored the fact that Azula (Unlike in her previous battles) Was not trying to fight back at all, and she was focusing all her energy into avoiding any attack, which was the reason that she did not lose. It was her tactic.
You may just be to ignorant for me to comprehend, even your little review that the show failed at the end was ignorant. The only reason you think it fails (which beyond your opinion, it doesn’t) is because you can’t look at the plot with an inch of intellegence.

You know what’s weird? In the very begginning of it all (like first or second or third episode), I some how knew Zuko was a good guy… I WAS RIGHT!!! I can’t believe it. I’m usually the one wrong…
Oh, and by the way (talking to you avatar jones), I don’t think Toph and avatar Kyoshi are the only two female earth benders… remember the chapter (1st book I think…) were Katara does fake earth bending to get on a boat and save a bunch of real earth benders (a few of them were female, I think)? Well, in the town everyone who earth bends is send to the ship, because of the fire nation, so maybe the women are just smarter than guys and don’t earth bend some one can see them… exept for the avatars, they sorta have to, and Toph…
Oh, and the song, I’m usually blamed for it, but you spelled a lot of stuff wrong… like they not the, thofe not toph, and zoko not zuko… I like the song other wise
