Avatar: The Last Airbender Episode Guide

Sokka and Katara, two teenage siblings living in the South Pole, discover Aang and his pet flying bison, Appa, trapped in an iceberg. After Katara frees him, she discovers that he’s an airbender and the siblings take him to their home village in the Southern Water Tribe. … i’m angry that some people are ruining this show…>:( they said that they’re making book4 all by themselves! well this is bullshit! why would they make it that that they don’t know what AVATAR really is! they’re animation sucks… the motion is not good… and their drawing sucks too… the avatar that they’re making is not a good looking guy… and the details are wrong! some said that they’ll make the avatar that is reincarnated after aang’s death… and they’re the one who will choose what element they’ll first bend… like earth… the avatar after aang CAN’T be an earthbender in the first place… he/ she should be a watebender… and nothing else… and some would say that the new avatar could be borned when aang is still alive! you can’t have two avatars at the same time! lemme tell ya what avatar means… IT MEANS REINCARNATION!! and reincarnation means, that when a person dies, his/ her spirit will go to another baby and live again… those people are sick! thay’re just ruining the show! even though i want another book, i think it should remain this way… 3 … or wait until the “real” maker of this show would make up his mind to do it… i saw some videos in youtube… and one says that aang’s babay is a WATERBENDER!!!! this is a big NO! his son/ daoughter should be an airbender… katara is NOT aang’s husband dummas! when the father is an earthbender and the mother is a waterbender, then their son/ daughter should be an earthbender… just like in real life… the family name is suppose to be sticking in their son’s name… so, the avatar can still have the possibility to airbend i the future… and about motion, i haven’t tried to animate yet, but iv’e studied how to… the motion… it ain’t good… when you want to animate, you must study how to draw each details of an object… what’s the front view, the side view, the up and down… and you must learn how to draw each position… i can do that…. i’ve studied each details of a person or any objects… and it’s not easy to make book 4… you shall stick to the story… watch this show all over again to familiarise the movements of the bendings, why those stuff happen, and stuff…
animating of a bender’s movement is not that easy as you think… you shall master each movement… and first, you shall watch the people who does the martial art…
and last… i dare to tell you… NOT TO DO THE BOOK4!!! it would just ruin the show… just let the real creator do his decition…
cause he knows everything about the show… and all the reasons why things happen to the story…

Well the movie The Last Airbender fails or so i heard in the reviews and my friends that saw the movie already.But yeah…that’s what i expect from Hollywood. Once a good anime turned into a live action movie.80% im sure it would suck….. Avatar: The Last Airbender isnt really an American made animation.Most of the artist were Asians.And what I noticed about Hollywood.When they make and asian game/anime/manga into a live action movie it sucks so bad. (examples: Dead or Alive,Dragon Ball,Tekken,Resident Evil all originally made by Asian creators and what does the movie look like?)
But when Hollywood makes a movie about the comic of their own american creators…it kick ass for some reason….(Marvel,DC comics movies.)The only good Asian original characters and tittle is Transformers(Which directed by Micheal Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg_>
So yeah i was saying…. Book 4 not gonna happen.Ever books means Aang studies and master a new element.So why make book 4 that would be Book:Air..?He IS already a master airbender and the only one of his kind.And the movie… well… The character accuracy already failed so they are gonna stick with those chars till the end if they plan to make every book into a movie… And to be honest… the actor who took Zuko’s role in the movie..I like him better to be Sokka… he fits waaaaaay better in that character…>_> And yeah…. I dont expect anything else good from the movie yet…. Hollywood never sticks to the original stories… and they never will….

Love this anime, best american produced one by far. It is tru that most of the designers and animators were south korean, but the actual idea and story was all written by american writers, so good on them for that.
Sadly the new movie sucked. The effects were good, however casting wasn’t great, and the script they wrote for it was by far one of the worst movie scripts I’ve ever seen. All the comedy and innocence from the show was lost in the movie. Avatar offered hollywood the chance to make another epic trilogy of the likes of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ (albeit more childish) but I’m afraid that I was dissapointed. A 90 minute film for the entire wonderful first season of Avatar. I can’t even draw the comparison =(
But back on a positive note, I’d love a fourth book, and they could technically do it. There is always spirit bending which Aang kind of learnt from the lion turtle, but only used once, and they could, I think, very really amke another book exploring post-war avatar with aang trying to settle into life as the avatar and master his own spirit/energy etc. Especially so much was left unresolved in regards to his 7th chakra.
And in typical avatar style this storyline could be parraled by Zuko’s search for his mom and so on.
AS for the series we’ve had thus far, I loved it. It’s different from most child-like anime’s in the themes it raises, and I love the way it explores Love, no pun intended. The developing relationships between all of the characters was fantastic, I especially enjoy the Aang – Katara relationship. When I rewatch the series I like to try and spot any give away of their feelings, and while this may be just wishful thinking on my part, I like to think that you can say the beginning of their feelings developing right from the start.
I know alot of people like Zuko and Katara, or even Toph and Aang/Zuko/Sokka, but I find that Aang and Katarra are perhaps the two closest characters on the series, they hug alot, and are a constant support for one another. Katara does seem to become close to Zuko towards the end, but she is compassionate towards just about everyone which is probably her defining trait. In fact I enjoy all the character and relationship development so much more than in any other show because of the continuity, and the way their relationships affect their overall quest and the issue arising in the episode. Most notable of this is Aang’s Chakra problem due to Katara, and I still find his conversation with Iroh about it, to be my favourite moment in the entire show.
Now I guess I have rambled on a bit across a variety of subjects, and for that I apologise

In summary: GREAT SHOW!! =D

I went to the movie avatar the last airbender with a friend.. And I thought it was a good film, but I never saw the serie before. I wanted to see more avatar so I watched al the 3 books here, and it’s so much better than the movie..
They could have made it the best movie ever by sticking to the real story.. But no, the filmmakers had to give their own view on avatar.. Their just doing it for the fast money, not because they wanted to make a great film.. It’s really sad actually. Fortunally we still have the real avatar serie’s
And a book 4 can’t come because at the end there is peace and the war is over. Aang masters all the elements and there is nothing to learn anymore.. The only way to make a new book to do it about the next avatar and start from the beginning, but there is a big change that it would fail because it’s already done and not new and exciting anymore.. It’s a big challenge to make a whole new story that is still as good as this one..
Anyway Aang and Katara’s kid(s) would be airbenders I think.. otherwise it’s impossible for the next avatar to master air.. But Aang is not just an airbender.. Actually he’s the avatar, so he’s an water, earth and fire bender to..
But it doesn’t help to think about that :p I just hope that when there comes another book that it is good and it is just as good as these 3 books.

second Legend of Korra is coming out fall of 2011 i think the only characters that we see in this series from the last series is aang in the spirit world. aang and katara got married and had a baby i think his/her name it Tienzen(or something like that) and he/she is friends with Korra(the next avatar which is a waterbender) the problem is that a anti-bending coup is coming and she needs to stop it. Im not sure if this is the real story it is just a rumor but hopefully it does happen

OMGosh the book four looks great! what are you guys on about! sure all the origional characters are dead, but tenzin (katara and aangs son) is there teaching the new avatar (a girl) how to airbend. she is a water bender, but has mastered the other elements (except air) already. there are also flashbacks to like, zuko finding his mum etc.

I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, it’s the best anime cartoon I’ve ever seen. Everyday wake up thinking about it.

This show is so damn good.I can still remember when I just completed the 6th grade final examination then instead up sleeping up late in the morning, I used to wake up at 5:00 a.m. to just watch this show.It used to start at 5:15 a.m. Then after few days, I moved to new place where there was no NICK.I was verydisappointed. But now again when I am about to complete the 10th grade I found this website.I just cant express my happiness.Now I am gonna save all the episodes of the cartoon even though the internet speed is not so good.I am gonna do it by hook or by crook. Thank you very much whoever made this website.I am really thankful to him/her/them.THANKYOU………………………………
