Still looking for an Earthbending master, Aang and the crew stumble upon an Earthbending tournament. While there, they see the blind master Earthbender Toph, a girl whom Aang saw as a vision in The Swamp. Aang challenges her and easily defeats her with Airbending, but she refuses to teach him Earthbending. Both Aang and Toph are captured by the owner of the Earthbending Tournament.

First of all, thank you so much for posting these episodes online. Even though I have the series on DVD, it’s nice to come somewhere to get a quick “Avatar fix” when I’m away from home.
And to second what Mike said, this too, is one of my favorite episodes. There’s just so much to like: Katara intimidating the Earth Kingdom boys, Earth Rumble, Sokka’s ah, enthusiasm and Katara reactions (*slap* “don’t boo him!”), Toph and Aang at diner, and yes, Toph’s badass-edness!
Ever since Toph joined Team Avatar, she has quickly become my favorite character in the series.

Toph is the perfect kind of fighter. The most dangerous. She looks all sweet and innocent but haha she isn’t so cute when she whips out her mad skills! I love Toph!

Toph is just amazing, she’s definately my most favorite out of all them. and to the fact she wearing my favorite color.
I would’ve been a Hybrid Bender if i was on Team Avatar.
( Note: Hybrid Bender is a bender who has two element bending abilities without being a AirBender like Aang is. My Bending skills would involve Fire Bending and Earth Bending

there’s no denying it. Toph Bei Fong is a God. she will kick your ass. when i first saw Toph in the swamp episode, i thought she was aangs old friend from the southern air temple, because they were having visions of people they miss and love, and because of her flying boar.
p.s LOVE sokka’s slick “water triiibe” move. LOVE it!!!
