While on the island, Aang seeks guidance from his past lives, but is not pleased with what he is told. The island, in fact, turns out to be a lion turtle from whom Aang is given the guidance he had been seeking. After the tracker is unable to find Aang, the rest of the group decide they must find Iroh. When they find Iroh, the group meets the Order of the White Lotus, an order which transcends the division of the four nations. After a discussion with Iroh, the team decides to split up; Sokka, Suki, and Toph head to stop the Fire Nation’s air fleet, the Order goes to reclaim Ba Sing Se for the Earth Kingdom, and Katara, Zuko, and Appa head to defeat Azula.

I love zuko so much! The scene in the tent with his uncle… it was like the best scene of avatar ever! It makes me feel so sad and happy inside, i love it how zuko is sensitive (and i love his voice too hehe xD)… Zuko is the best anime character ever

Aang’s concern is that he would violate what the monks have taught him i.e. that all life is sacred. For Aang to be a true monk he must detach himself from the world. But Aang being the avatar cannot be oblivious to his surroundings therefore cannot be detached. If in the process of being the avatar he must sacrifice his goal (to be a monk) then he should, because his purpose is for the greater good not to lead it selfishly.

it was annoying in the last episode when aang could not take out the “melon lord”
and how he feels that ozai should be treated as any random human.
the things ozai has done or is planning to do are pretty good reason to kill someone and aang just gets angry at everyone for thinking so.
however the compromise that was made in the final episode was very mature and the writers oulled it off well

this episode was really touching! I loved the Lion Turtles words! They were all very emotinal, yet true. I also noticed that Sokka’s sword master has the same voice as The Boulder! xD Ahem. I was so dissappointed when the movie “The Last Airbender” came out, cause I’m such a huge Avatar fan, been watching it since it came out in 2001ish I believe, and realized it’s true potential from the very beginning. This episode sort of brings all mysteries together, from when Zuko and Iroh were in the dessert and met the lower ranking member of the order of the white lotus, and when Sokka met his master Piando, he left his with a Pai Sho piece, the white lotus! We finally now know what all that meant, but “Into the Inferno” remains my favorite episode and will post more about that here. Sort of like the episode book Earth last episode “Crossroads of Destiny” they are all heading out to face and confront their destiny’s and fears all at once.
I saw that some retard had posted “Does this cartoon ever end???”, it’s pretty simple. If you don’t like it, GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS WEBSITE!!

Also, if you notice when Aang’s on the Lion Turtle and sees the hexagon, the flower of the White Lotus is embedded into its shell, or possibly a source of power for the Giant Lion Turtle? Maybe this is where the Order of the White Lotus came from, since the Lion Turtle is supposedly extremely old and all knowing…AND THE PLOT THICKENS! That’s why I love this cartoon, I’m almost 30, and even my older friends have a hard time following it but it’s one of those shows where you gotta see it from the beginning, or else you’ll be lost. So great!
