When Aang reveals his decision to wait until after the comet passes to confront Ozai, Zuko explains the Fire Lord’s plan to use the power of Sozin′s Comet to destroy all of the Earth Kingdom; forcing Aang to attack the Fire Lord before the comet’s arrival. During the night, Aang is drawn towards an island, prompting the group to find a tracker as an attempt to locate him. The Fire Lord crowns himself Phoenix King and Aang awakens on an island not knowing where he is.

It is different when Aang is specifcally going in a fight with someone to kill that person. The other times they were fighting in self defense or to achieve some primary goal. Directly going after the firelord is a different type of killing.

i can truly understand wat aang is going through. from watching the shows he has never sought out to kill anyone. the times when he took ppl’s lives were while he was in the avatar state, and it was used as a defense measure and he didn’t like himself for what he did while in the avatar state.

Azula really is evil. I feel sorry for her. Aang didn’t actually KILL combustion man did he? I thought they knocked him out and he fell off a cliff. No, wait I remember now! Didn’t combustion man’s third eye backfire? And it wasn’t Aang specifically that killed him.
Also, when aang’s in the avatar state most of the time, he can’t control what he did. Remember how he was always confused when he came out of the avatar state?
This is different, because Aang feels that HE has to kill Ozai, because he knows that he’s the only one powerful enough, and his friends would only get hurt, but he’s grown up without ever killing someone, and he’s been taught that it’s the worst thing you could ever do EVER!
Wow, this is a really complex plot! I love it!

I remember in class and I’d watched the part where Zuko joins Aang, and I told my friend, “I’m going to laugh so hard if Zuko turns round and starts randomly attacking Aang.”

The Combustion Man guy killed himself when his attack backfired. The backfire was due to Sokka’s boomerang attack, but the actual attack that caused his demise was self inflicted, As for the the guy at the North Pole…Aang WAS the giant water fish thing, but I THINK it was partially made up of the ocean spirit as well. If you go back and watch it, Aang comes out of the Avatar state and I believe it’s actually the ocean spirit that kills the General. So, long answer short, no…Aang and his group haven’t killed anyone…well, except for Zuko maybe…oh, and Suki might have had to at some point.

They didn’t actually kill combustion man, he killed himself. They hit him in that wierd flame throwing third eye, then he tried to use it but it was all messed up so it backfired on him insted of throwing the flame to his apponents it just blew up in his face, causing the temple he was on to fall…….and commander jao, i dont think aang actually killed him, he was in the avatar state and around that time when he was in the avatar state he would loose control over his body, his past lives would act for him, it could have been anyone of his past live, but not aang………

Aang is a Buddhist monk. They’re not supposed to kill anyone or any living creature. Aang always refused to eat meat. Plus all the people have died b/c it was their own fault. Combustion man’s eye backfired. the Ocean spirit killed Admiral Zhou. Plus Aang has no control over what he does in the Avatar state. He never did kill anyone

Well, as for Aang killing, i believe the only thing was the bee insect when they were first hunting for Aapa in the desert. While he was in the Avatar state at the Northern water tribe, Aang (nor did the avatar state) kill Commander Zhou. He killed himself. Recall, Zuko standing on the bridge, arm outstretched to rescue Zhou, yet instead of taking his hand, Zhou allowed himself to drown. Since Aang is a monk, killing is never something that should be done intentionally. And if it is accidental, recompense is still a necessity. just my outlook on it.
As for the movie, it looks kinda lame, yet it seems as though it is only a movie version of everything that we have seen thus far. i wish they would come out with season 4: air. maybe it can touch on the rebirth of the airbenders, zuko finding his mom/aang finding out his past life is zuko’s mother’s grandfather, azula rebuilding the fire nation, or even firelord ozai getting his power back (similar to the end of one of the xmen when even after magneto was stripped of his mutation, he still manipulate metal slightly.) just my opinion lol

Okay there has to be a forth season I meanthe others were 3 elements what about air what about recreating the air nations and zuko turnig evil again and what really happened to azula I never quite understood that part did zuko and katara kill her or did she just stay tied up and we must know what the heck happened to zukos mom I mean how cab they end a series like that?!? We must notify the creators an tell them to make a 4th And why r they taking mai and azula and toph out of the movie that’s shit! Ugh depressing but I have to say I’m gonna see it in 3D something I never do it just has to be done it seems cooler in 3D right?
